Our city needs your voice on the The Healthy Food Action Plan! This is more than a program; it's a collective effort to move St. Pete to better health and equity.
The Healthy Food Action Plan will focus specifically on 16 census tracks designated by the City as Healthy Food Priority Areas.
Each community identified has higher poverty rates and more residents without access to a healthy food options within a half mile (some people call them "Food Deserts").
Specific concerns within each Healthy Food Priority Area include limited access to a variety of food retail options, transportation, nutrition education, and are affected by income constraints.
Why does your involvement matter? These challenges, and income limitations affect the areas where we live and Your unique perspective and experiences can shape strategies that truly make a difference.
